Going to Action world

AHHHH!!! I was going to Action World today with my grandparents.

When the family arrived at the enormous Action World we ran in and got our tickets. First I did the demo jump. We had to land on our bottom. I raced to the exciting trapeze. I swung backwards and forwards but I could not  make it over the cat. After that I did the BIG BIG slide. Whoosh! off I zoomed. “Weeeeeee,” I screamed as I flew down the slide. Finally I had made it off the slide. Next was the tightrope. I made it to the middle. I tried it again and again and I finally made it. Then it was the zooming water slide. Once I had climbed up I raced back down. It was so fun. Next was the big, big trapeze. I climbed up the tall ladder. Once I got to the top it seem really scary. I did one big swing and I landed on my bottom. It was actually very fun.

Next was the climbing wall. I started and kept on going and finally I made it to the top and rang the bell. Then I flopped down. I rushed to play darts with my grandad. He won. He got it in the middle. Then we had lunch. It was so yummy. Then it was time to go.

It was so fun at Action World.

In the beginning

This term the class made something about the Legend In the Beginning. Lukas, Lawrence and I made an animation. There was 6 gods but we only used 4. Tu the god of war, Tane the god of the forest, Tawhirimatea god of wind and Tangaroa the god of sea. Their mother and father were so close together and the gods were cramped. Tane had to push them apart.

I also made a mask of Tawhirimatea.  It is so cool.

Easter bunny art

Last week the class made Easter bunny art. We used sharpie for the patterns and marbling for the background.  We also added some whiskers and some glasses.

Swimming

Triathlon

Ohaeawai  School triathlon

“WOO WHOO,” I yelled.  I can’t wait until the class goes to the Triathlon. “It is us next,” screamed Lawrence. “I can’t wait,” I whistled.  Miss gardner screeched, “line up room one and two.”   I sprinted as fast as I could. Then Miss Gardner handed us over to Mrs Stevenson. She put the class in order. Room two girls line up here and room two boys line up. Room one girls line up here and room one boys line up here. Mrs Stevenson did everyone and we were last Mitchel, Lukas, Sunita and I were last.

Finally she called us, we all lined up on the seat over the crystal clear water. Mrs Henderson said, “go!!” Off we went. I shivered in the cold cold water and my legs were so sore from all that kicking but I had to carry on.

Next was the biking we had to go as fast as flash down Mr Lawrence's driveway and back to the field. Then we dropped off our bikes and did the run.

Around the back and up a big hill, around a corner to the finish line. I had finally done it after all that time.

Mrs Whitelaw gave me some milk and I got an apple. As I finished it I saw my mum she said that I did great. I saw the hamburgers and I lined up. They were so scrumptious that I gobbled it up in one bite.
